Beet root has a very earthy taste, so this recipe sweetens it up with a little carrot and lightens the cocktail up with grape juice.

2 ounces (60 ml) (1/4 cup) beet root
2 ounces (60 ml) (1/4 cup) carrot slices
4 ounces (120 ml) (1/2 cup) green seedless grapes – it is OK to substitute grapes with seeds.

1) Wash beet thoroughly. Section the root bulk into pieces about 2 ounces each. Save the tops for other jucing projects.
2) Juice the beet root first, followed by the carrot and then the grape, this will flush most of the remaining heavy beet root juice through the juicer.
3) If the recipe is not sweet enough to take away the “dirt” taste of the beets, simply add one additional carrot slice at a time until the juice reaches the desired flavor.
