Yield: 8 ounces (250ml)
Prep time: 5 Minutes (does not include before preparation freezing time, of course)
Total time: 10 Minutes
3 ounces (90 ml) freshly brewed coffee, medium roast or dark roast, preferably from 100% arabica beans
4 ounces (120 ml) milk
3 tablespoons (45 ml) caramel topping
3 tablespoons (45 ml) raw sugar
You can make and easily store multiple frozen coffee cubes for quick frappes. An 8 ounce frappe needs about three cubes and most popular ice trays create 12 cubes.
For a thicker frappe simply add additional ice cubes.
1) Pour the brewed coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze.
2) Using a blender, combine the coffee ice cubes, milk, caramel topping and sugar.
3) Pour the mixture into a chilled glass.
4) Top with whipped topping and caramel topping if desired.
If you are unable to create your own coffee based ice cubes, simply combine the 3 ounces (45 ml) of brewed coffee and three regular ice cubes in the blender.
